Youth Poetry Contest (WL)
April 28 @ 2:00 pm
FreeWRL invites middle school and high school students (ages 9-18) in James City County, York County, and the City of Williamsburg to participate in a WRL Poetry Contest. Submit one poem 3-26 lines long; one submission per person. Cash prizes will be awarded. Printed poems can be dropped off at either library location at the Adult Services desk between April 1-15 or emailed to teens@wrl.org. Winners and honorable mention poems may be posted on the WRL web page and read at the awards presentation by either the writer or a designee.
Poetry reading and prize presentation is 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28, in the Williamsburg Library Theatre. You do not have to be present to win. See wrl.org/teens for complete guidelines.
This program was made possible by the generous support of the Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library Foundation.
