Are you struggling to find an agent? Is the query process driving you nuts?
In this workshop, you’ll gain an understanding of the traditional publishing process and learn strategies for working with agents. By the end, you’ll be equipped with practical insights to help you succeed on your novel writing journey. Discussion includes:

Why do you want to traditionally publish?
The dream vs. reality
Query letters
Getting moved out of the slush pile
Conferences
How to find an agent
What happens after I get an agent?
Publisher loyalty

The workshop is taught by Camille Di Maio, bestselling author of eight historical fiction novels, including The Memory of Us and The Beautiful Strangers. Her books have been translated into five languages.

Are you a writer? Whether or not you’re published, you can benefit from this supportive writer’s group. Listen to informative talks on a variety of writing-related topics and meet other writers and aspiring writers. Led by local author/editor Brian Forrester. Ages 13+.

Located in the Schell room.
