Turning Pages Contemporary Book Group: Bewilderment
January 17 @ 6:45 pmFree
Explore classic and contemporary fiction and nonfiction from around the world. This book group will sample critically acclaimed and prize-winning titles with open and inclusive discussion. Turning Pages meets the third Tuesday of every month.
Join us in-person for this month’s discussion of Bewilderment by Richard Powers. Theo Byrne searches for planets far outside our solar system, but his biggest challenge lies close to home. He’s being pressured to put his nine-year-old son Robbie on medication to help with Robbie’s outbursts. Theo finds a way to help Robbie, but he also learns that the boy’s wonder at the natural world carries its own risks.
Turning Pages will not meet in February 2023. Members are encouraged to attend The New American author Micheline Aharonian Marcom’s One Book One Community talk on February 21 at 6:30 p.m.
