Top Ten Art Heists in History (WL)

Local mystery author Ellen Butler will talk about her favorite 10 art heists in history. Heists discussed include: The Mona Lisa, from the Louvre Museum, The Scream, by Edvard Munch, The Green Vault jewelry heist, and 100 timepieces stolen from the LA Mayer Museum for Islamic Art in Jerusalem. In addition, she will discuss 21st Century heists such as, the COVID-19 Singer Laren Museum theft, a two-ton sculpture trucked out from the Henry Moore Foundation grounds, and, a movie worthy theft, from the National Fine Arts Museum in Paraguay. She will also discuss researching her latest book, which is set in Williamsburg, and be available to sign books afterward.
