Saturdays @ Frink: Orisirisi

January 28 @ 11:30 am

Free

Celebrate Africa with Orisirisi drumming, dance, and call and response, inspiring the audience by exploring traditional stories of African heritage. Students meet “Dog and Turtle,” “The Wolf and The Three Kids,” “Anansi and his Six Sons,” and many more entertaining stories that impart life lessons. Nigerian-born Adetutu “Tutu” Harrell and music scholar Don Harrell are spirited performers who have performed all over the world for Disney.

More science activities and crafts will be available between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Join WRL’s Bookmobile every Saturday for something to make, do, learn, and play at Abram Frink Jr. Community Center.

This program was made possible by the generous support of the Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library Foundation.
