Cultural Heritage Series: Let Freedom Ring Foundation

History Half Told is Untold retells the history of the First Baptist Church of Williamsburg, from the secret meetings of free and enslaved African Americans to Former President Barack Obama’s ringing of the church bell. There will also be a presentation entitled Slavery: How & Why. This is a riveting presentation about why slavery lasted so long and why perpetrators switched from enslaving Native Americans to Africans. It also addresses the demolition of slavery and some of the lasting effects today shown through institutionalized racism.
