Bach, Banjos, and the Hero’s Journey

March 6 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

In this inspirational solo concert, John Bullard uses the metaphor of the hero’s journey to tell his own story and to introduce a captivating program of classical music on the banjo. In performance, John is surrounded by three banjos (including a cello banjo) and renders faithful and stunning transcriptions of Bach and his contemporaries. John also shares newly commissioned works and original compositions. In this interactive program John engages the audience and invites them to reflect on their own hero’s journey in life and in music. Join us for this free concert Wednesday, March 6th, 12 p.m. at Saint Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Road in Williamsburg.
