Homeschool Enrichment at the James City County Library

Library learners will discover something new twice a month from this series of enrichment programs for children in grades K-5. Explore a new topic every first and third Wednesday of the month. Registration is required; please call 757.741.3300, option 4 for more information or to sign up beginning October 1.
November 2: Magnets with the Children’s Museum of Virginia
Rediscover the forces of magnetism! Review the concepts of poles, forces of magnetic fields, magnetic &
nonmagnetic surfaces along with push & pull. Students explore rare earth magnets, lodestones and use
electromagnets to understand relevant applications.
November 16: Observational Skills (on a Dinosaur “Dig”)
Strengthen early science skills in observing, describing, and categorizing through a fun dinosaur “dig.”
