RE-OPENING HIKING TRAIL
Memorial Day Weekend, 2012
The staff and volunteers at York River State Park want to keep you posted about an event that we are working hard to make possible. The Taskinas Creek Hiking Trail is scheduled to reopen by Memorial Day Weekend but will likely open to the public in early 2012. The original trail was noted for broad bridges along the creek. It has been re-routed to higher elevations and will still provide overlook views of the estuarine marsh. We believe the trail will offer a fine challenge to hikers and plenty of opportunities to admire wildlife.
